a mammoth accomplishment

my wife and i accomplished something yesterday that i thought would never happen. we finished diablo 2. and not just the original, but with the expansion tacked on. you laugh, but this is a truly monumental accomplishment. when i was first introduced to this game back in 2000 by my roommate, i had no concept of this type of gameplay. it scared me because it was so advanced and so amazing. i've beaten diablo numerous times, but to finish the expansion is something only dreamt of by gods. diablo 2 takes place in four chapters and the expansion adds a fifth. many a time had i reached that fifth chapter, but never to complete it. we did it last night via Gertrude theBA (my assassin) and Bob_CanDoIt (my wife's barbarian) and managed to not only knock off Diablo, but his brother, Baal in the fifth chapter. And to much the delight of my stepson, we managed to even make it to the Secret Cow Level which i'd briefly experienced in the past, but not to this extent. we were no match for cows with hatchets and their king, so we enjoyed a good laugh listening to the 'moos' and then called it a game.
