Pure genius or utter insanity?

I think it's a toss-up, depending on your perspective or just your love/hate feeling towards Faith No More, but Mike Patton, genius or loon, made an impact on the rock scene in the early 90s. The group wasn't fully appreciated until long after it's demise and Mike's gone on to bigger and other things, but it's hard not to appreciate a group who brought you songs like the radio friendly, Epic, the mocking and enjoyable We Care A Lot and the ever wonderful Midlife Crisis. Not to mention, who else would take the strangely cool candy bar commercial and incorporate it into their set?
