it's that time of the year again
i made a joke in a previous comment about being able to set my watch by my allergies. once a year, my head goes into fits and i go into sneezing fits, snot parties and long, sleepless nights. that issue has been somewhat amended by my daily intake of loratadine. so looking for something else to set my clock by, i stumbled across a listing of local summertime concerts that replaced my drug usage.
Without fail, every summer, Dave Matthews visits our little town and puts on his yearly concert and rakes in the cash. Before you think i'm just bitching cause it's that time of the month, i'll tell you that i saw Mr. Matthews in concert about 4 years ago. I was dating one of his fans and i ended up at the concert to appease her need to prove that Dave was the best musician and concert putter-onner that ever existed. I've never cared for Dave's music and seeing him live didn't change that opinion.
I'm just wondering when these slack-jawed, pot-smoking, hemp-wearing kids are gonna catch on that they've got a ticket for the same concert from 1992-2006. Dave obviously knows what he's doing. He puts out an album every couple of years and most of the time, it's not even new material. Every second or third release is new. In between, it's a new concert album that replays the same stuff, different order than his previous release.
i guess i don't really have an issue, per se, here. I'm just shaking my head and rolling my eyes when i see concert tickets go on sale for his annual concert.
