child's play

last year during the silly season, i sent out an email to family and friends encouraging and informing all of the child's play charity. it was a huge success totalling over $250,000 in toys, presents, video games and cash for sick children at a children's hospital in Seattle. Over 190,000 children benefitted from the charity last year and it has begun again this year and has expanded to 5 different children's hospitals across the united states. i'm here to encourage your donations to this charity this year. i know it's only october, but you can never start giving to early and since most of the donations are given from amazon via special wish lists set up for each hospital, the lists will be depleting quickly. if last year's response is any indication, the lists will be emptying quicker than you can imagine. this is 100% for the children, but it also destroys the reputation that gamers have for being aggressive and violent and anti-social, which couldn't be farther from the truth. we gamers make up a large part of the world and we want to help too.

i know that most of you probably have specific charities that you give to each year, but i'd like to encourage you to add this one to your list.
